Now that the PC version has been out for a little while I was wondering if there is any updates on if/when a Mac or Ipad version will be released? PC2 looks to be a nice improvement over PC1, and I'd really like to play it. I know the Mac version of PC1 had a number of porting issues, but I played all the vanilla and Grand Campaign scenarios on my iPad with no issues and really enjoyed the game. It's tough reading about all the new PC2 features and not be able to play it on my hardware.
Keeping my fingers crossed for good news on this front. Thanks.

Re: Mac/iPad Version
Unless Slitherine has come to terms with Apple's decision to drop support for 32-bit software that seems unlikely, so don't hope for too much.
Mildly pretentious Swede. Goes by Path on most platforms, including Steam.

Re: Mac/iPad Version
I’m using an Imac with the Parallel Pro software. This software creates a virtual PC machine on a Mac. Works fine if you set some display options at medium.
Re: Mac/iPad Version
Thanks for the info on Parallels. I haven't bought any virtualization software for my Mac, but I should probably look into that. I have an i7 Imac so it should be plenty powerful enough to handle it. I guess that would mean I'd have to look into buying a copy of Windows as well. Is there a reason you are using Parellels rather than Boot Camp though?
I don't understand the 32 bit issue though. I would have thought that since PC2 is a new title, that it would be 64 bit already, even for Windows. I thought that PC2 was made using a common engine (Unreal, I thought) and that should work on the new Macs and MacOS, shouldn't it?
I think I'm more interested in an iPad version though. I played the hell out of PC1 on my iPad and it was great to be able to take the game with me on trips and play on flights and such. Has Slitherine stated whether an iPad version is possible or in the works?
Cheers,
Jeff

Re: Mac/iPad Version
No that is not enough, you need a graphics card.
That is where the problems are, not enough graphics card.
IE MacAir will not cut it. The high end iMacs have separate graphics cards.
Check the game requirement and compare to your computer specs.

You can play the game with geforce now: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/ in any computer (max, windows, linux) even without graphics card. No app for the ipad for the moment.

Re: Mac/iPad Version
I installed terrible Windows on my Macbook Pro 2018 with Bootcamp. Even on the lowest graphic level PC2 ist unplayable. At least it's no fun. I´ll wait for release on iPad or perhaps PS5. Otherwise I have to stay with PC1.
Re: Mac/iPad Version
My iMac has a Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB VRAM. Would that be enough to play PC2 in Bootcamp or Parallels? It also has a 4.2 GHz i7 CPU. Again, I'd prefer an iPad version, but if that's not coming, then I'll look into Bootcamp or Parallels.
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Mac/iPad Version
Yes, that is enough.
If it has something like 'Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640', then no it will not work.
