Rundstedt's War in Russia (Fictional Scenarios Future Campaign)
Race To Leningrad (RTL).
A fictional WW2 game. RTL is based on a hypothetical situation that would be fought in Russia in 1941.
Political Situation: Hitler was killed in an assassination plot after the defeat of France in 1940. Wehrmacht General staff took the opportunity to eliminate Himmler, Goering, and other, more passionate Nazi officers. Searching for the best low threat leader, the General Staff backs a controllable Albert Speer. Speers selection would turn out to be a fortuitous choice Albert Speer would turn out to be an outstanding administrator on would gear the German economy for total war in 1940 instead of 1943. The new head of the German state would bring one additional trait to the Dictatorship; he would let the Generals fight the war. Sensing weakness, Stalin begins pushing for more territory from Romania and generally having his foreign minister Molotov pushing for more significant economic concessions from Germany. The situation has become intolerable, and war is becoming unavoidable.
The Plan: General Von Rundstedt became chief of the General Staff replacing the weaker General Von Brauchitsch. Rundstedt's prewar thoughts on a war with Russia becomes the approach adopted for the upcoming war with Russia. Leningrad becomes the 1st years' primary campaign. Army Group North became the primary effort in 1941. Army Group Centers' primary function is to fight its way to Smolensk and form a line from Leningrad, Smolensk to Kiev and along the river Dnieper with Army Group South. Once achieved, the Wehrmacht with dig in for the winter and then assess operations for 1942.
Your general orders are to assume command of the 1st Panzer Army. Your starting Army will be made up as you attend the Command forces allocation conference for Army Group North. You will determine the makeup of the force (When I actually convert the scenarios to a campaign). It is recommended you select a well balanced and hard-hitting force with Luftflotte 1 in support. You are the spearhead of Army Group North.

Re: Rundstedt's War in Russia (Fictional Scenarios Future Campaign)
, here you go.please let me know if this works. I am having trouble with getting the briefing to show up so I will post it until I can figure it out. Here is the Briefing:
Race to Leningrad Scenario 1
Date: April 1941
You are in Command of the spearhead of the 1st Panzer Army. Your goal is to breach the Russian frontier. Smash the Russian border troops and then drive toward Kaunas. Your starting point is the Prussian border, and Vikaviskis Lituaniana will be the staging ground and forward supply base for the drive through Lithuania.
Intel: Areal reconnaissance shows the Russians have quickly moved to their defenses after the early morning airstrikes. The supply situation for the Russian is not good. The Russian's are at a 50% supply. Take advantage of the open terrain and the supply situation and take Vilaviskia.
Terrain: Main Flat lowlands marked with Russian defensive Works. Vikaviskis is a medium city and not ideal for tanks.

Second Battle of RTL is being posted
Race to Leningrad Scenario 2
Date: April 1941
You are past the border defenses and pushing to the city of Marijampole. This city must be taken on the march.
Intel: Areal reconnaissance shows the Russians gathered an armored force to the South. Expect a strong attack as the Russian launch a desperate armored attack to try to stem your advance.
Reinforcements: A panzer detachment from the 1st SS Libstandarte Adolf Hitler has been rushed to your position to help deal with the armored counterattack.
Air Situation; The Russian air presence is minimal. WE OWN THE SKIES
Terrain: Main Flat lowlands marked with Russian defensive Works. Marijampole is a medium city and not ideal for tanks.
