I wasn't aware any timeframe had been given for DLC. Would be sweet to get 2 this year!

Re: DLC timeline
I cant wait... I want to play a campaign against Nazi... no metter if Soviets or Allied...
Re: DLC timeline
There hasn't been any official announcement on the DLC yet.
Not an update on what it is, or when it's coming. So... all we can really do is speculate.
I'd like to see something before August, that's so many months off. And this day and age of games moving so fast, it would be harder to retain players after some long months of content drought. It's also a little different from Panzer Corps DLC, which if you call took six months. But they didn't take money for those DLC before the base game even launched, where this time, they have. That makes a big difference.

Re: DLC timeline
I was wondering the same thing. So, Kerensky, it was about 6 months after the base PC1 was released when we got its first DLC? That would have been GC 1939, right?Kerensky wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 8:56 pm There hasn't been any official announcement on the DLC yet.

And I do not remember, but about how long was it between GC DLCs? Like 1939 to 1940.
Re: DLC timeline
I remember distinctly... because I made them.

July 2011 base game launched.
November 2011, DLC 1939 and DLC 1940 both launched simultaneously.
This was because it took so long to get the post-launch engine up to speed (5-6 months), I had enough time to make two of the linked Grand Campaign DLC simultaneously. Which, by the way, was a huuuuge boon to the Grand Campaign. Because people could see right from it's inception that it really was a linking campaign, because the first two links came out together.
Re: DLC timeline
I went to go check the release dates to verify... but I forgot they wiped out all the Panzer Corps DLC. It's just one complete package now.
Well what's in my head is:
July 2011 base game launch.
5-6 months and then first two DLC came out.
1-2 months after 1939 and 1940, one more year of Grand Campaign rolled out. This continued from 1941 to 1945 East.
At some point Afrika Korps comes out, and I took a break.
Then revisited the Grand Campaign in more 1-2 months blocks to produce the three alternate West branch of the GC.
Panzer Corps 2 is a very different beast though. No idea if the schedule of the past will reflect the schedule of the current game.

Outstanding work, no other way to say it, but you did a fantastic job.

But can't rest on old laurels forever. Just saying it's from 9 years ago... phew time flies.
Re: DLC timeline
Well Fantasy General 2 has the same "First 2 DLC included" in the "General Edition"
Game released September 5th and the first DLC six months later March 12th.
No idea if that is any indication.

Re: DLC timeline
So are you going to get yourself some new laurels then? I'd really like to see something fun done with the new mechanics, and the GC really elevated PC1. Looking back, it's original campaign wasn't all that exciting, but you really brought that game to life.Kerensky wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 10:45 pmThanks.TJLionheart wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 10:31 pm Outstanding work, no other way to say it, but you did a fantastic job.![]()

And yes time flies...
I remember playing against you in MP in the very early days of PC1 during a tournament but didn't have any chance

Keep up the good work
