Make this a carryover Campaign

Post by desicat »

In the Editor, when creating a new scenario one of the options is to select a box that states; Make this a carryover Campaign.

What does this mean/do? I can't find any information on this selection in the manual, is there another location where more explanation can be found?

It is a facility in the engine that is used in other games but has not been used in ours. It allows some units to be carried forward from one "mission" to another, but to be honest, as I have never made use of it, I don't really know how it works, so cannot explain it further.

It was used a lot in Battle Academy (or Battle Academy 2, I can't remember exactly which, and I get the two games confused!). In BA the historical scenarios were all linked in a linear campaign, and in these "Carryover" Campaigns the designer specified what were the players Core units. These Core units would be carried over from one battle to the next unless they were destroyed.

I have never really got into Battle Academy scenario design, so I don't know how it works exactly, or if it would work in FOG2.
