Bypass period restrictions

is it possible to bypass period restrictions in multiplayer battle construction.

In other words, a friend wants to play a particular army...I would like to play another, but cannot because of period restrictions...how does one get around that? or is it possible?

All you have to do is toggle off the Date and/or Geographical filter in the custom battle setup interface, and you can set up a challenge for any army to fight any other.
