Pool points, captured equipment, planes etc

So - can a German piece of equipment be "upgraded" to a piece of captured equipment? I tried to do so, and it didn't let me. Also, what are pool points and how are they allottoed?

Finally, can planes be captured? Obviously it can't be done in the air, but wondering if it can be done if you capture an airfield with a plane on it. Not sure if it was a bug but i did capture one with a plane based there. When the AI's turn came, it simply nose dived and crashed.

You need at least 10 point to buy or upgrade.
If you only have 10, you will not be able to reinforce.
Just like prototypes.
Captured points are unit strengths that have surrendered. There are heroes/traits that can increase this.

No you can not capture aircraft. Although that might be a good idea. Not likely to happen.

If the scenario designer wants to, you would be able to capture an airplane by capturing a specific hex.
This was done in some PzC campaigns, but not the first one.
