Anyone know what the bonus objectives in Baragtion provide?

Unfortunately it doesn't say anything about the bonus objectives of Bagration. Maybe a dev will drop by and give a hint?

I got the campaign tree, I know bonus objectives are needed for "victory" path, I can't see what holding Minsk for ten turns would get me other than a bunch of "the Fuhrer regrets to inform you" letters back in Germany.

According to the developer (Rudankort), the bonus objectives in Bagration gives you some extra core slots.
