Please help a Noob with Erik's Afrikacorps mod

How do I load this mod?

I put it in the MOD directory, but I had to rename text_english to mod to get the proper opening screen to appear.

However, after clicking on AfrikaCorps mod, I just got my standard screen that lists all the add-ons I have, but afrikacorps did not appear.

Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks.

It's a custom campaign, not a mod. See the stickies thread in the scen design sub-forum: "Where do custom campaigns and scenarios go?"

You have to load it into the "campaign" folder, not the mods folder.

Two meanings of "mod":

(1) "Mod" = custom campaigns, scenarios, and mods (2)

(2) "Mod" = modifications to the game itself; revised units, settings, terrain, screens, etc.

Around here, we generally mean (2) when we say "mod." Custom campaigns and scenarios usually are designed for the vanilla version of the game.
