Aachen MP defeat?

Just started some MP. I was playing Aachen (Allies) and it said before my third turn defeat and the game ended.

I hadn't lost any units or towns am I missing something?

The game sort of froze on the end of the second turn, maybe that was the issue.

Also how do you pick sides in MP?

A bug seems to have been injected into Aachen that messed up the turn limit right before launch hit... definitely should be fixed ASAP in first patch.

To pick your side, it's a bit wonky at the moment. But the rule is:
Person who hosts the game = first player. First player = first nation listed in the MP scenario description.

So like Aachen says 'Americans vs Germans' which means Americans are be played by first player.
while "Red Star Iron Cross II" says 'Germans vs Soviets' which means Germans are played by first player.
