Design notes for Tettenhall 910AD
This is an ambush scenario with the Danelaw Vikings starting the battle in extended column as the two Anglo-Saxon armies begin to converge on them.

The Danelaw Vikings have a special unit (3 of them) which is a baggage train with a guard of defensive spearmen.

Army points Anglo-Saxon 1180pts, Danelaw Vikings 1090pts.

The battle is sometimes call Wodnesfeld, or “Wodin's Field”. The Anglo-Saxon attack took place on August 5, the saint's day of St Oswald whose remains Edward and Aethelflaed had recovered from Viking territory in Lincolnshire the year before.
