Hello there.
I have a little question. Is it possible to somehow create new nation in game? I have a plan to do fictional campaign for Czechoslovakia.
Thank you for any advice.

This link may give you some info on editing units
viewtopic.php?t=64318
But then you need to edit a nation to give it the right flag icon not sure how to do this ...

also check out this link above editing unit skins and models ....

You would have to make a mod to do that, I think.
BUT there is a czech flag in the factions - you could rummage through the French and German factions and get some czech rolling stock out of them, and reflag some infantry that you might like. The 38(t) german series were Czech (the (t) stands for tschechisch). It was also the frame for the Marder vehicles. (amazing what you can learn on the internet...) Outta luck for czech air force unless the Germans have some Czech planes in their foreign units.
It's easy to reflag units in the editor.
I'd be mighty interested in playing a czech campaign, soudruhu!

Re: New nation for fictional campaign
I am also TRYING to make a fictional TEXAS army.
I used the Marine corps to start off with....I navigated to the flags and edited the Marine Corps flag, using Paint. I simply replaced the flags with a new Texas flag I created with Paint. Very easy for me and I am NOT an expert on Paint programs.
I picked Indian National Army and converted to Mexican flag as well. THAT was far harder than the easy Texas flag to create with paint. I ALSO thought about using Czech ......
I was able to change MARINE CORPS to TEXAS but dont remember HOW I did it . I had to fiddle with a lot of stuff and somehow got it to show Texas correctly.
MManipulating skins was super easy......as well as assigning skins to the various factions.
EVENTUALLY...I HOSED the UNITS.csv file so that the EDITOR no longer functioned 100%.
After screwing up my UNITS files many time, I finally got the hang of how and WHAT to change in the UNITS.csv file, so I can pick and choose from the "cool" looking units that I personally enjoy ( the US M-19 AT/AA unit unit now has a range of 2 and fires twice per round...hehe)
I made a KAMIKAZE unit....assigned the movement points AND the attacks to 10....Now, when the Kamikaze attacks, it blows up 10 of the closet units arouonfd the original target!
Nebelwerfer. I LOVE the rocket attack visuals of the neberlwerfer. I made one have a range of 30 so I could watch them fire all the way across the map
UI converted an artillery unit to use the Nebelwerfer attack and it got bugged. It fired about 300 rockets for almost 2 minutes...hehe

Re: New nation for fictional campaign
SURE WOULD BE NICE if there were an Editor section on creating completely NEW countries and armies. A section that is only for creating new countries. Once created, then you could use them in scenarios/campaigns
PLEASE add more structures......Like the oil refineries, bunkers, etc. I'd like to see a few industrial structures and as well large building complexes, like colleges, hospitals, army barracks, more supply depots, harbors and dry docks. =) Please.....

Thank you. I will look at it. Some units I found in Spanish prelude, so I have some starting points.ColonelY wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2020 8:39 amNice!![]()
Well, as GabeKnight writes recently inside the Design & Modding Guides (viewtopic.php?f=374&t=70345&start=40), you could probably get some hints from the Admiral’s mod (take a look here: https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewto ... 74&t=85899), because he added some new factions… including Czechoslovakia!
