Problem is that the only thing that has happened to my clients is that they gifted me provinces.
My guess here is that I get the malus because the number of provinces of my clients has declined and the game deducts that something horrific must have happened. This is probably not WAD and would also not make sense. On the contrary - they are are so happy about my enlightened leadership that they gave away their lands for free!
