odd question

I am posting this here because it is more of a technical question rather than a game question.

Has anyone played this (working) on;
win 2000?
win XP?
Win 98?
Win 95?
Wine on a linux variant?

Also I have seen mobile phones where windows 98, xp and 7 has been installed with an x86 emulator. There are videos on you tube, not just hindi ones. I dont suppose anyone has tried loading the base game on that setup?. Thanks for info.

Wine on a linux variant?

I got it running on Linux using Steam Play, which uses Wine.
I was trying to get the PzC2 beta working, couldn't so tried PzC and it took ten minutes to get working.

Now that Crossover 19 is out PzC2 may work on Mac or Linux. Haven't tried it yet.

I use Wineskin to play PzC on my Mac Air. Have not tried Catalina yet.

Thanks dalfrede. I must admit I tried using linux some time ago when i tried to dump windows but in the end couldnt get wine to install properly so I had to go back to win 7.
I was thinking long term ; given the technical power of mobiles these days it is approaching the power of PC's when PZC first came out. It would be interesting to do panzer corps on a phone.
