If I take Dai Viet with 8 elephants, can I take an ally with more elephants?

You can use the armies listed in the op, which include them, and stop being so smart

I know this is a team competition but can individuals enter (in ad hoc teams)?

Re: CAMPAIGN 2020 2-3 May
Yes, Brian Espie was entering. If you could get Paul Longmore you'd have a MAWS team
Be warned tho, its army v navy weekend

With six teams and five games I believe everybody's going to play everybody else once. If it's of any help to the organisers have a look at:
https://www.fixturelist.com/
You just input the names, press a button and you get a random round by round draw - and it's free.

Re: CAMPAIGN 2020 2-3 May - Palmyrene Empire...
This empire didn't extend all the way to Italy, so we appear to have something of a problem. For a theme clearly set around Palmyra, if you win the initiative against Romans you only get choose Italian terrain. Furthermore, it's highly unlikely that you'll fight in steppes if facing a Roman opponent who wins initiative.
Shouldn't the only terrain choices available be limited to what the Palmyrans have?

Re: CAMPAIGN 2020 2-3 May
No. It is set around the Palmyran Empire. They were defeated by Rome, but what if they weren't. They'd have carried on round the Med. And Roman terrain isn't just Italy it's Roman, which was quite large at the time
