Unit's suffering from the unreliable trait is visible to the enemy.
This info should be hidden to non-friendly units.
A similar case could be made regarding enemy unit's supply state. You don't really know how many beans the enemy has left.
Check the AI KV-1 with low efficiency.

It may not be apparent that the tank is running out of fuel but mechanical breakdown and erratic performance could be noted by the enemy, I would think.

It's a gameplay decision to show supply state and efficiency for all, just like suppression in PzC.
Not showing it would make coordinated attacks a bit of a blind flight.

Personally I would prefer more FOW in the game.

I can ask the tech guys if this could be made optional, but I can't really say if it's on the table.

Someone who knows the game well knows that this tank (KV-1 m1940) has this trait (unreliable trait) whether it appears on the screen or not. So I think that not making it appear on the screen doesn’t really matter and also it makes things more complicated at the level of the programming of the game.
If we take things further, we should not make appear the names of the enemy units, it would be up to the player to recognize them.

We already have symbols for unknown air and naval units. They work fine. These were not available in the early days of OOB.
Strength of enemy units should be displayed. You would know the relative strength of an enemy unit (battalion, division etc)
I is also ok to know the supply states in or out of supply. Otherwise it would be difficult to know if you have the enemy surrounded.
But levels of supply should not be known in my view.
