A couple of questions

Post by springel »

1) Can I clear wire weed as Space Marines outside my city? Other factions have 'colonists' that can do it, but I sit on a peninsula cut off by wire weed.

2) When showing possible hexes to move to, it appears that you cannot move through your other units, but during the movement animation they move through each other all the time. I don't quite get the mechanism there. It almost seems as if you can move through another unit (saving MP) if you could have moved around it.

3) Assault Space Marines have bolt pistols and chain swords, but the pistols seem equal or superior in all statistics. What am I missing here? What is good about melee?

4) What is the significance of named landmarks? Will they play a role in future quests?

1. It took me a while to notice it, but the Space Marine rotary cannon thing (I forget the precise name) also acts like an engineer. It can clear terrain, repair vehicles, and shoot indirectly. A really useful unit!

Thanks for the answer. I had already given up on this post.

I figured out questions 2 and 3 by now, but I am still curious about the purpose of landmark names.

Probably just fluff. The machine seems to give the units names, too, which have no effect.
