Best for PBEM

Hi

been awhile since i played any PC wargames, dont know why as i generally enjoy them.
Bit overwhelmed by how many games there are here now.
Which would be the best wargame to play by email with a friend?

Battle Academy and FoG2 both have very strong MP communities, if either setting is of interest.
