Linux Users: Steam Play Beta runs PzC

I have experimented with the 'Steam Play Beta' and played the first turn of 'Border Raids'.

The opening video does not play, it displays a black screen with a vertical white line, but just click through it and the game runs.

Steam Play Beta
Proton 3.7-8

The latest Proton 4.11.2 does not work.
There comes a time on every project when it is time to shoot the engineer and ship the damn thing.
