cant update OOB

I just bought a bunch of OOB games and all loaded fine except when I tried to load RED STAR It said I needed to update my game. When I try to update to 8.1 I get unable to open FTP file and it stops there. HELP!

That sometimes happens to me for all OOB updates but only if I click "Check for update" at the opening screen, then if it says "New update available", I click the prompts but get an error message- "cannot download" or "cannot connect" etc.
No problemo, I simply go to the Matrix site and update from there..

It also happens to me here and there but like Spike said, it's easy enough to get the updates from either of the websites members area.
