[Terrain distortion][Escarpment][New]

Post by Erik2 »

Escarpments are very useful as sea walls along a coast, preventing any seaborne landings.
But if they're placed outside the hex-side they may gobble up nearby ships like a local Bermuda triangle.
Looks impressive though

Is this ship the Costa Concordia ?
Seriously, I do not think there is a solution for this graphical bug. Shallow sea along the coast ?

It doesn't bother me much. I think even DDs on shallow sea will get gobbled up by the escarpment.
The escarpment was not designed to be used like this anyway.

I guess they are not intended to be used for coast lines. IIRC they were added for Africa, to have them on desert terrain.

Yup, but they work fine for preventing seaborne landings all along the coast.
And they even look good :D
