Apologies if this counts as OT... I know there are a lot of historical movies out there, but this period/setting rarely gets cinematic treatment and yet tends to feature in a lot of FoG battles.

Upcoming Kazakh film on the Cyrus-Tomyris war. Not wild about the depiction of Cyrus as a generic movie baddie and I have no idea what anyone is saying, but the costumes and the steppe warfare look pretty well-done - shooting at very close range, no football-halftime-performance synchronized CGI formations, etc.
