Hello:
I am slowly compiling an "Extended Afrika Korps" campaign... Nothing very fancy, but I pretend to compile a campaign with the best (in my opinion) scenarios taken from Nikivdd's Legacy of Versailles original mod, the vanilla PzCorps AK campaign, and now, also some scenarios from the Allied Corps vanilla game campaign.
The problem appeared when I tried to integrate the first scenario from Allied Corps, the Fort Capuzzo one. I replaced all the Italian with English units, changed the flags, and I changed all the parameters for that scenario. Still, when testing the campaign, when it comes to load said scenario I can only see the User Interface, and just a black space where the game map should be, and the program stops responding. I know I must be doing something wrong but I cannot find what the problem is. I remember having read in this forum about a similar problem, but I can't find that posting now.
Can any of the more experimented campaign makers around here give some advice to solve this problem?
I attach the scenario files, in case this help.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Help with campaign design
I have tested the scenario using custom scenarios and it works. Is it possible that a typo has crept into the campaign path?

Hi Guille,
I tend to agree with Anduril. The scenario does not seem to have any obvious flaws. It would helpful to see the campaign file.

Thanks guys! You are wonderful! The dumb error was, in fact, a typo difference between the scenario name and its label written down in the campaign file.
Thanks again for the assistance! I am testing the scenario now...

Re: Help with campaign design
Hello guys:
Another question regarding the campaign & scenario design...
In order to make the scenarios less predictable in the different play throughs of a campaign, is it possible to randomize the positioning of some units present on the map at the start of a scenario?
I saw that there is a "random positioning" function in the unit editing menu of the Scenario Editor, but either I cannot use it properly or it does not work.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks again!

Re: Help with campaign design
The problem may be that a unit has to be triggered for random placement to work.guille1434 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 3:21 pm In order to make the scenarios less predictable in the different play throughs of a campaign, is it possible to randomize the positioning of some units present on the map at the start of a scenario?

Try triggering appearance on Turn [1,1].
Can also look at 'Dash to the Wire' [AK] for random placement [supply dumps],
and US Corps 'Gela Counterattack' for random unit appearances [Tiger I].
There comes a time on every project when it is time to shoot the engineer and ship the damn thing.
Re: Help with campaign design
Guille, you mean this option?
It works fine. Without randomize position is the Krad under the Panzer IV.
