Donnington's various Dark Ages ranges of Goths, Vandals, etc. may be a good place to look for a variety of figs. They now have pics of most of their ranges on the web site which helps :)

I won't be there tonight Colin. But thanks for the offer. They may still be useful. I have now ordered the figures from Donnington. But it all depends on how fast I can paint. Need them for Ascot.

Old Glory 15s you can mix in their sarmatian and rhololani types are quite like them. I only have 60....figures not bases.

Fairly complete list of suitable manufacturers here... If you've got a list or any additions to the subtle tactical analysis please add it in

One of the armies my club posses just about makes 330 AP of Gepids under another well known set of ancients rules. Although they have been there at least 2 years, I have never seen anyone choose them for a pickup game (the Burgundian Ord or Portly Geezeers seem to be a more favoured choice). However I have (bravely/foolishly) agreed to give them a run later in the year. Will then try in FoG and see which works best.

For Pete they will bring a river and a road.

And for Tim, what do you mean subtle tactics?
