Japanese lists will be in Empires of the Dragon later this year.

(Haven't I just said this elsewhere?)

New book on Japan

Post by irondog068 »

I take it this new book ends at 1500? This should be all I need to rebase my 28mm Samurai and with a little fudging bring them right in 1580 to use those hundreds of Perry and Kingsford 28mm Samurai. Plus my growing John Jenkins buildings..

Ikko Ikki Fanatical monks also posted in 15mm:

A 15mm hard plastic sprue (25-30 figures per sprue) of Ikko Ikki Japanes Warrior
Monks is available for pre-order at Wargames Factory:

"The Ikko-Ikki, or single minded league were a fanatical sect of religous
rioters in Japan during the Sengoku Jidai, or the Age of Warring States.

They took over entire provinces and controlled daimyo and influenced the shogun.
They were a constant thorn in the side of Oda Nobunaga and
defeated him several times in battle, killing his brother in one. Though many
Ikko warriors were actually samurai, the bulk of their armies were
made up of peasants or ashigaru. This sprue is representative of the
majority of the troops. Since their are plenty of 15mm samurai already
on the market there wont be any on this sprue. 20% of the troops should be in
samurai armor, w/ spear or sword, and a headband. 20% should be in minimal armor
with spear or sword and headband. 20% should be in minimal armor with a arquebus
(musket) and headband. 10% should be with no armor and a bow and headband. 30%
should be in no armor with a spear and headband. 1 Figure from this last group
could be a standard bearer."
