Crashes awhen starting new game

I just bought this, starts to the main menu fine, I click new campaign and my settings, it starts loading, then crashes to the desktop. I briefly get a black screen showing the attached picture, then a generic Windows error message. My drivers are up to date, all files validated successfully. Below is the crash log.

sorry but almost,
once the report has been made, just zip the file then attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then not permitted to attach to the forum, where as a zip file is.
need the txt tile in full with the error reports at the end of it,

and a game output log as mentioned in the link, but in txt tile, not copy pasted etc, then i can see layout and format etc as it comes from the report and game, thanks

Forgot to mention the only official support I've gotten so far is them asking if the intro.mp4 plays in a stand-alone player, which it does. All files validated, uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game, running the exe as administrator

AVPro Video.dll crashed the game, try running the game with a clean startup and without the app / program running in the background, as it either doesn't like something in your system, or doesn't like to be running with another app or program on your pc, only way to be sure, is a clean boot like safe mode and then see if the problem still happens.

if that doesn't sort it, then try a codec fix, as on old pc's with older O/S etc, sometimes if you have used a codex pack or addon program which alters codec's, over time one may have broken.

if the video's play from the media player folder in game, it's a conflict somewhere, but where is anyone's guess, as without a report which says the error, it's hard to really point it out.

To obtain the MSInfo file:
1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type MSInfo32 and press Enter.
3. In the MSInfo diagnostic window, click File, then Export.
4. When the Export As window appears, choose Desktop.
5. Name the file "MSInfo" and click Save.


as your DirectX report had no error's in it, can you do a MSinfo one so i can check deeper thanks

what's missing from the DXR report is these lines,

I've never even heard of AVPro, there's nothing about it in task manager or installed programs. How do I know which program is using it? Will try safemode boot now. Here is the requested file

Just tried safe mode, still crashes. Which report is missing? If I can find it I'll attach it

Edit:
I've searched all my drives, apparently, AVProVideo.dll is used by games that are built using unity, such as BSG , Battletech, and Edless Space 2

Edit 2:
I replaced the AVProvideo.dll with the one from Battletech, and the intro video does not play, but the game does not crash either, and I was able to get past the loading screen

sometimes something in one system conflicts with something running in the background, as you have proven with a dll change, now something else works, but a video doesn't play, but as you've seen the video, not having a crash is better, so will pass it on to the developers and see what they have to say thanks for trying and also glad your now at least somewhat sorted for now

looking at the logs provided, i'd make sure DAEMON Tools Ultra isn't loaded on launch every time as that's one i've had before in support which caused modules to fail,

Faulting module name: AVProVideo.dll is from S:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlestar Galactica Deadlock\BSG.exe so maybe a later version is needed, i'll ask

Faulting application name: ACS.exe is from S:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Assassin's Creed Syndicate\ACS.exe

Faulting application name: SearchIndexer.exe is a O/S based error

Faulting application name: explorer.exe is same as above

Faulting application name: CNQMUPDT.EXE is your printer is auto loading each and every start up Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Canon\Quick Menu\CNQMUPDT.EXE

as these are all date stamped from 5/28/2019 to today

Faulting application name: FalloutNV.exe etc etc Faulting application path: s:\games\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\FalloutNV.exe

seems there's more than a few errors, so not the only game or error, while some crash and game ends, some game will just hang, so maybe not always your aware of etc

The program mpc-hc64.exe version 1.8.2.0 is a known error and is part of the codex pack C:\Programs\K-Lite Codec Pack\MPC-HC64\mpc-hc64.exe

this can break other codec, and a main reason we don't recommend codec packs on game pc, as while it updates some codec, it can and does break others.

as long as your happy with the solution you have found, all well and good, but one day sooner than later, you will need to back up and reinstall windows from fresh, removing not only the faulty files and broken bits, but remove the same amount of junk, we all install, and most of the time never use, which makes any system slower and somewhat unstable

I'll use the alternate dll for now to play the game =)

My question now is why are there errors from programs that aren't running? Like Assassin's Creed Syndicate? I DO use the K-lite-Codec pack as this is not just a game machine, but I'll take a look at it. Thanks for all your help =)

the info logs any error from a given date, so anything that has been run from a given date and has caused a error at any time, even if it only hung but didn't crash gets logged

Well you can always try a different codec pack. If you are using it for watching videos,you can always try VLC player which uses it own set of codecs without causing conflicts.
