Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.

Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.
In the manual you can learn that "a province can be formed when you control at least half of the province’s regions".
I captured an image from a video of a spanish youtuber. Hovering over the map overlay of provinces, the explanation in spanish says that you need to control more than 51% of regions in order to create a province. That's completely wrong.
Furthermore, I see some translation mistakes in other places.

Re: Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.
Watching in detail this video in spanish, I see enough mistakes in spanish translation that makes me think I'll play the english version.
I see incoherences on the descriptions that appear when the youtuber is hovering the mouse over things.

In this video I understand some descriptions (or words) only because I've readed the english manual previously.

Please note that the Spanish translation was not final (not even complete) in the build played.

As I have enough time (I'm on holidays until sunday), I'm going to post some incoherences I've seen in the video with the spanish version. I do this in order to help. No problem if you don't take this into account.
- Defensiveness – Actitud defensiva (defensive attitude) BAD TRANSLATION
Suggestion: Nivel defensivo (defensive level) or Potencial defensivo (defensive potential)
- Italian citizen – Itálica Ciudadano. BAD WRITTEN
- Hellenic slave – Helénica esclavo BAD WRITTEN
Corrections: Ciudadano Itálico. Esclavo Helénico.
- On-map display pop-up for provinces
Necesita el control de más del 51% de las regiones de una provincia para crearla. ERROR.(In english version appears the same incoherence in comparison with the manual).
Correction: Para crear una provincia, necesitas el control de al menos el 50% de sus regiones.
- On-map display pop-up for supplies
Seleccionando un apilamiento se actualizará el mapa indicando su consumo. WHAT IS AN APILAMIENTO??
I think apilamiento is stack (related with armies), but in spanish language, apilamiento is a word far of being related with armies. I don’t know a proper word for stack. “Tropa” (troop) maybe?

Hi juanval, thanks a lot for reporting the mistakes you have detected. We're working hard in order to fix them asap.
As you know game is already in beta phase, and, as Tamas said, the Spanish version is far from being definitive. That's a quite old version.
Besides, let me say that this game is very close to six figures in terms of word count, with such quantity it's easy to write something wrong in some cases. We all will try to solve them as quick as we can with the help of the community.
I encourage you and the rest of members to help us in this task, reporting (in a constructive way
Re: Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.
I know there is a lot of work for translating the descriptions of all the military units, traits, historical references, buildings, etc. I don't care to play the game on english, but it would be a pity to see this beautiful game having negative critics due to translation. I've seen this in other games.
If you want, I can post more issues I saw in the video, in this thread or through private messages.

Re: Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.
We've a difficult problem to solve here: gender and noun/adj position. The game uses the same word in different situations and code lines. In English, Hellenic can be used with a feminine noun (hellenic queen) or a masculine one (hellenic king) indistinctly. But in Spanish we give to the adjectives the same gender than the noun: reina helénica (fem) or rey helénico (masc).juanval wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 4:04 pm As I have enough time (I'm on holidays until sunday), I'm going to post some incoherences I've seen in the video with the spanish version. And if it was not enough, reading in one of our games "Helénico Ejército" sounds horrible, the same if the English guys read "Army Hellenic". Probably they'll tell themself "Come on! who translated this??? an elementary school student???" and quickly will think that the translation is not good enough. the British have the (bad) habit of writing backwards:
Good one! We'll try to improve this.juanval wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 4:04 pm - On-map display pop-up for supplies

Re: Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.
Ok let's continue:
- Para overlay no es práctico usar “Superposición” (Superposición de Provincias, Superposición de bienes comerciales, etc).
Suggestion: “Mapa de Provincias”, “Mapa de bienes comerciales”, etc.
- “Colores de población.” Suggestion: “Mapa de cantidad de población por región”
- On-map display pop-up for provinces:
“Muestra los límites de las provincias, si se ha alejado, y los nombres de las regiones si se ha acercado”
Suggestion: “Muestra los límites de las provincias, y haciendo zoom se mostrarán los nombres de las regiones.”
-On-map display pop-up for Objectives (Mapa de regiones Objetivo):
“Los objetivos te garantizan una marca gratis hacia su conquista y general un un punto de legado por turno.”
Esta descripción no se entiende. Viendo el manual yo pondría:
“Conquistar una región que es objetivo te garantiza ganar una ficha de progreso y en general, un punto de legado por turno.”
Luego continuaré...

Re: Error explaining the formation of provinces. Spanish translation is not good enough.
Solution for adjetive and noun gender/position:
If the game forces you to use the adjective prior to the noun, you should use parentesis and plural
(Helénicos) esclavo
(Itálicos) ciudadano
I'll open a thread later in the spanish section of the forum to coninue with this

Watching the new version on youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aE8G39Yp1rc
I'm glad to see Granfali has taken some of my suggestions. Now descriptions are better in the spanish version.
When I get the game, I'll try to post more suggestions.
