Wire is currently used as decoration.
Why not add a fixed small defense bonus for whatever infantry, AA, AT and artillery unit occupying the location?

I have often thought about this too whenever I saw these hedgehogs. Panzer Corps has the "fortification" terrain for that.

While these simple hedgehogs decos won't overwrite other terrain-objects, the camp-deco is somewhat useful to improvise strongholds that can't be attacked by tanks. You only have to put a dense-forest or mountains terrain underneath.
