no Parthia ??

Post by SGZ »

I didn't see Parthia featured on any videos yet. Perhaps the start time is a little early for them to have come to prominence but I'd love to be able to play as them. Are they an "emergent faction" ? Perhaps they'll be added later as a DLC ? ( i'd pay for that! ).

There are a couple of factions that appear by event - Parthia and the Galatians - roughly around their historical arrival time/place.

Once they appear you can swap.

In addition, a lot of nations will pop up as the starting states collapse, regions revolt etc. Again you can swap (in SP) to any as you wish.

Interesting... Is your ability to switch to Parthia, say, conditional upon anything. Or is it like Paradox, where you can basically load up the game as any nation, long after the game began?

No, you effective save one turn, go to the game set up screen and opt to change faction for the next turn, so you are then that faction for the next turn, set your orders etc etc as normal and off you go.

So yes, in theory, you could do a big shift on say T499 ...
