I want to show you, the new format for our Tournament in Granada. I Have based in the Historical Pairs system that Julian proposed.
I have done 10 historical campaings groups of armies, and I borrowed the armies to the players. Each player must give me one army at least, and other players will give up to 5 armies as they wish
. I have added 4 armies of my own collection.Now I have 10 historical groups for 20 players:

I´m looking for more armies in some groups yet, but I think that you can understand the philosophy at least.
The draw will be done at the traditional way, but each pairs of opponents will play in one of this groups randomly.
The opponent better ranked choose first one of the armies of the group, the other one take other army and let´s to play
Each player will play 4 diferent games, with 4 diferents armies vs 4 historical opponents
.To preserve the health of the minis, only the Umpire (me) can handling the armies previously to the games.
I think, it can be a nice experiment. I will tell you what´s happens
