Modding Query

Post by joerock22 »

I'm looking to mod the 1805 scenario, and I have the following questions:

1. Is it possible to change allegiances and entry dates for minor countries? For example, change Spain to pro-Coalition and give it an 1808 entry date?

2. Is it possible to add turn a minor country into a major one? For example, establish the Ottoman Empire as a major country on the French side, with its own force pool and research? (I think the answer to this is probably no, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask)

I know you can mod the scripts in the data folder, but none of them seem to contain the things I want to mod. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sigh...I was afraid of that. I really really really hope you do decide to release the editor, hopefully soon. I think it would be so cool to experiment with setups, more or less historical accuracy, etc. Plus, then you could tell everyone who has issues with the game to fix it themselves!
