What did I miss here?

It appears the irregular unit circled got thru the diagonal between two of my units. I have played a lot of games now, but never seen this, I had assumed my ZOC would be covering me, what did I miss.

The ZOC vanish when units are in melee. So, yes, your two units in melee have no ZOC in this case.

Thanks - not sure why I havent come across this before - ill need to be more careful it seems. I guess its an inherent but abstract problem.
