Disruption + Terrain Penalties

Post by lapdog666 »

if a unit is steady in a forest hex ,lets say a roman hastati/principes unit they have a ''severely'' disordered modifier

now if that unit gets disrupted in combat, they have the disrupted status , and their ''severly'' disordered status is now gone

isnt that against the logic. a unit that was weakened by the terrain becomes stronger when they additionaly get beaten in combat and get disrupted

or in othe words shouldnt statuses stack

Cohesion Drops and Terrain Disorder are deliberately not cumulative. Only the Cohesion status is actually recorded, the Disorder status is determined according to the unit's situation - e.g. in terrain or near elephants. Whichever has the worse effects in the particular circumstances applies.

Because of limited space in the UI, it only shows the Disorder status when a unit is Steady, otherwise it shows the Cohesion status.

From the point of view of CT modifiers, Severe Disorder is equivalent to Disrupted, not Fragmented.
