7.1.6 Campaign Editor issues

Post by Erik2 »

Most of my custom campaigns suddenly misses an important specialisation start date field.
This means that specialisations no longer works for these campaigns. And that is on of the main fun things imo.

I'm testing a new custom US campaign which is affected by the missing date field. Bummer...
But all is not lost for new custom campaigns.
After finishing a scenario the game asks if you want to open the Specialisation screen.
Answer yes and you can buy specs and Acquire them.
So it seems it is only the Specialisation tab you can't open manually.-

Here are some screen shots in support of what Erik reported and his subsequent comments. The first image is before the campaign has started; the spec tree is unavailable. The rest of the images are from after the first scenario is over and it seems the specialisation apparatus does work properly thereafter. You just can not view the spec tree in between scenarios due to the missing spec start date.

I believe that I can confirm that it's not the "custom" aspect that is the prime factor; after all, official or amateur DLC, all campaigns are custom. Rather, it's when the scenario was created. If before 7.14/7.16, then it will be fine. If created with 7.14/7.16, then the specialisation start date will be missing.
