Problem when defeated in opponents turn

I have just lost a battle when my opponent inflicted 42% losses on my army before I could inflict more than 20% on his army. When I go to replay his final turn where this happens I get the following sequence.

The replay shows me going over 40%

It then says my army has lost heart and the only option is to select the proceed button, but the replay is not complete
I then get the this is a defeat message and again I can only press the proceed button but the replay is still incomplete
I get the messages page where I can enter a message before pressing the proceed button but the replay is still incomplete
I then get an error saying the file could not be uploaded but notice the Replay percentage has reset to 0% but is still at the same point as before

When I select proceed, it runs the rest of the replay and ends in a screen with no buttons on it.

I then have to ended the task from task manager to get out of the game.

I have screenshots of the intermediary steps if needed.

My other ongoing games are OK.

I think that probably the only thing wrong here is that your connection to the server or the server itself was down when the game tried to save after the defeat message. (Because it saves the game so that the other player can view the final turn - as the victory code is run not during his turn, but during the automated melee/rout/pursuit phase after his turn.)

It is normal for the position on the map to revert to the position at the start of your turn because that is what the game saves, along with the sequence of actions that occurred during your turn. The replay then runs through these actions when the other player views it, and this actually reconstructs the position at the end of your turn.

Normally the game would allow you further attempts to save it, as per the error message, but of course these also would not work if there was no connection or the server was down. It is possible that this part of the UI doesn't work correctly when the game ends during the replay. We will look into it.

I had just completed turns in two other games and saved them. I tried more than once to run this with the same result.

I have just completed two turns in other games tonight and saved them and get the same result when I try to look at this game. I do not think it is a problem accessing the server.

If it is under the "Completed" tab, then no, but the PBEM administrator removes old games every so often.

If it is under the "My Turn" tab your opponent can delete the game after 7 days inactivity by clicking the "End Stalled Game" button.

If it is under the "Enemy Turn" tab then you can delete the game after 7 days inactivity by clicking the "End Stalled Game" button.
