Liberation of newly-discovered Tomb proceeding slowly. Rogue Bastion and Ambull herds in surrounding area impede excavation. Produce Destroyers to assist in constructive measures.

Astra offering next to no resistance to their elimination. One lone Hydra engaged by Baneblade, city destroyed by Scarabs. Today we have liberated Gladius, tomorrow we will free the Galaxy!

To sum up my experience: It´s a cute game, but the AI is terrible. It should have spammed units like mad, but -Nothing!

Maybe try the reverse, play Astra against Hard Necrons.

What I tried next is: Very Hard, medium-size map, 3 AIs.
And yes, my critique of the AI was too harsh: With the above settings, the game is fun and challenging. Still, two problems:
-The AI doesn´t consider map size. On tiny/small maps, it should focus more on immediate units and less on the long term.
-The difficulties are misnamed: Medium is Easy, Very Hard is Medium.
(I also believe the AI should appreciate cheap units more; it tends to skip them and go straight for the expensive stuff. But this is debatable.)

With the last patches, it's rather Necron is Easy (moreover for the AI), that's why you should try the reverse if you want more difficulty.

PLaying 3 Random AIs, one of them is Necron; difficulty is sufficient in this game.
But the Necrons MAY be op; AI Rebel Necrons killed the AI Space Marines with ease.
