Princpiate Roman ("Trajanic" of yee olde 5th Ed.)

Post by nigelemsen »

Trajanic Roman - enter my first forays into wargaming at the spritly age of 14.. so long ago :)

Anyway looking at returning to my roots so to speak and doing a 15mm version. (Enjoying LRR in 25mm)..

Was wondering has anyone tried a "Cavalry" and Auxilary version of the princpiate list?

the thought just seems fun... Course to gauntlet is to beat the previous challenge of 19 BG's for a Roman Army.

Cheers

My Principate Army is going to be very Legionnaire heavy, though I have heard of an auxillary list that had some success. Dont recall what it was exactly, but would like to hear about it.

Warfare at Reading, UK saw a Roman army of 21 BGs, and it was a 25mm 650 pt army at that! Mid-republican, as I recall, mwith Numidian allies...
