New England FoG Results

Post by pcelella »

Below are the results for the New England FoG II Field of Glory
Tournament held at the Time Machine in Manchester, Connecticut, on
November 15, 2008. We had a total of 10 players, 6 of whom played all
three rounds, and several interested onlookers. A big thank you to the
Time Machine for making the gaming space available and for the
purchase of the pizza.

The tournament featured 15mm armies (all of which were fully painted),
800 points, and 3-1/2 hour rounds. Note that even cutting the game
time down from 4 hour rounds to 3-1/2 hour rounds still resulted in
most of the games coming to an obvious resolution.

I went through the scoring slips for each of the games to make sure
that we had the scores correct. There are some minor adjustments for
the players in the middle, but no changes in the top.

Paul Georgian - Later Byzantines - 58.4
Chris Burr - Alexandrian Macedonians - 46.9
Matt Iverson - Nikephorian Byzantines - 46.6
Jacob Kovel - Middle Hungarian - 23.4
James Sulzen - Principate Romans - 22.0 (2 rounds)
Peter Celella - Early Successors - 20.0
Justin Tebo - Later Carthagians - 20.0
Aubrey Hopkins - Dailami Dynasties - 19.8 (2 rounds)
Hal Edgett - Sassanids - 19.6 (2 rounds)
Frank Hopkins - Abbasid Arab - 8.7 (2 rounds)

Everything went smoothly with no rules problems, and it appears that
an excellent time was had by all. Nice seeing and gaming with everyone.
