5 questions - airfields, airstrips, objectives, and sundry

Post by conboy »

Ahoy mateys,
I have 5 questions, any help, partial or otherwise, would be most appreciated. I'm asking these because I don't even have a clue and have exhausted all possible avenues (at least to my reckoning).

1) How does one generate the updated Turn Overview to show changed objectives? Is there a trigger or a combo thereof?

2) Can we have more than 5 secondary objectives? If so, how can this be communicated?

3) What is the difference between an airstrip and an airfield, in terms of scenario development/combat use thereof? I have several allied planes that can't land -- I have three airstrips adjacent to one another (in a triangle shape). I did some practice runs and could land 4 planes in an airstrip but when it comes to actual employment in a scenario, the three adjacent ones can't be used. The planes show the landing icon but when you try to land it goes to a big X. The planes are set up in an AI Team and only one can land, then done.

4) How might I go about having an airfield appear at a turn later in the game other than the start? I can't seem to identify an appropriate trigger.

5) How can I evaluate the guts of a scenario that comes with the official OoB campaigns? I can find and evaluate the ones we post, but not the ones proliferated by the Artistocrats.

thanks in advance -- I suspect that there are some "proprietary" means by which to achieve some of these. But any help on any question would be most appreciated!

 A message (Event Popup) which says that the objectives changed

 max 5 secondary objectives but you can add Special Events or Secret bonus objectives.

 Airstrip = structure destructible not visible with fog of war, airfield = indestructible, always visible. The AI use the nearest airstrip ("Set base" seems not to work).

 Copy-Paste the scenarios from ...Slitherine>Order of Battle - WW2_64_Data>Content>Campaigns to Documents>My Games>Order of Battle - WW2>Scenarios (french version)
