Jewish revolt versus Roman army sandbox campaign

Post by GiveWarAchance »

I'm well into a Jews versus Romans during the revolt sandbox campaign with the full 15 battle length (the longer the better in my case).
It's quite a good match up. The Jews don't have cavalry which is bad but they make up for it with potent IDF firepower (ie a lot of archers & slingers.... no Merkavas yet).
I'm just posting this as an idea for people who play sandbox games. :)

The heavily armored Romans are tough and harshly oppress the hapless Jewish zealots, but IDF firepower and somewhat clever tactics of the zealots quickly depletes the Roman ranks making it a fun campaign.
With the improved campaign, other factions stuck their sunburnt noses into my anti-Roman affairs so I had to see off some other sinister armies too during the campaign but it was also fun.
I haven't finished with the Romans yet. It looks like we won't have to fall back to Masada this time.

I'm wondering if the developers might make an official Jewish revolt campaign cause it would be quite good.

Perhaps one for one of the user campaign authors.
