Game won't start

Good morning,

I'm running into a new issue where the game will not start, and I'm playing on a iMac running OS10.13.6; this is the error message I'm getting the following two error windows, which I have attached as a screen shot. I have verified the game files twice, before and after restarting the computer and Steam, and I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall the game, without success!
Any idea what is going on?

You haven't attached any screenshot.
Anyway, probably the error is related with the one reported in the forum thread:
