IGN review - http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/926/926869p1.html

Not a bad review and once the patch is out the AI should be much improved and adresses their biggest concern.

A 70% score is not bad at all :)

No bad at all. I think the critic is justified and I think (I hope) you are adressing the most important issues right now.

- To passive AI
- The movement system ( , move and attack right away or lose your attack) (Ok here I dont think you do anything )
- Diplomatic system, revolt system is a little bit senseless at the moment
- The green zone around conquered capitals with movement restrictions ( feels like a bug the first time you experience this feature)

Some minor issues like:

- The suez canal exists in the napoleonic era?

Suez, carry over from CEAW? I too agree that it has no place in here and is totally irrelevant to the gameplay.

Move, deselect and retain an ability to attack... I too wish this feature was in, but in the same time it actually forces me to plan my attacks with more care, which I am happy about.

I would like to see an Undo button for the moves, provided the unit did not come in contact with the enemy and did not reveal any new enemy units (sometimes you make mistakes like moving the unit instead of deselecting it).

I completely agree. Every once in a while I click one too many times, or click on the wrong hex, and I wish fervently for an undo button.

The issues we fixed are in this beta topic viewtopic.php?t=8767
Yes the Suez Canal was one of the first thing fixed already in 1.01 Beta 3 weeks ago just as an example ;)
But almost all work on the betas has been fixing the AI.

Next week 1.05 beta will be ready and with significant improvements for sure.

joerock22 may have meant the map itself showing Suez present. And yes, you are right, the list does mention Transportation loop removal - I've read that post about 10 times, don't know how I missed that part. Must have been looking for the magic word 'Suez' and not reading the points carefully.

Actually, I was just talking about the prospect of an undo button, not the Suez Canal issue. That's why I only quoted that portion of your previous post. :)
