for alexanda macedonian army users

Post by alexandathegreat »

first well done for picking alexanda macedonian as your army. I started with it but i would recomend moving to an successor.

Here are three good resons to move to Later Ptolemaic

1] you can get up to a total of 12 bgs of roman infantry

2] you can fortifi a camp

3] it has lots of lovly pike up to 104 bgs but i dont think you'll fit them in one army

here are five good resons to change to
later selecuid

1] 8 bgs of troops with the same factors of roman infantry

2] upto 12 bgs of cataphracts

3] armoured offensive mf or hf upto 6 bgs

4] up to 24 bgs of ave archers + 6bgs of sup archers

5] elephants ,camels ,scythed chariots.

and finaly three resons to change to later macedonian

1] upto 80 bgs of pike

2] upto 42bgs of mf

3] upto 12 bgs of sup archers

I hope this will help you

It is , of course; a matter of taste and style, but IMHO cataphracts are not a plus. In my Palmyrans, I take the MINIMUM amount; having been soundly clobbered many times while fielding masses of Cats. Incuding one of the worst spankings I've ever had 17-0 vs Bactrians

Just my $.02

17-0 is an impossible score. Either 17-3, 17-8 or 22-3. Scores must add up to 20, or in the case of an army rout 25.

(anyway) I think cats are great. Perhaps you weren't taking enough?

How so? 8 BG's Routed=16 +1 Fragmented gives 17.

I had 5 BG's of 4. I now use 1 BG of 6 and haven't lost with them yet 8)

You are talking Attrition Points lost whilst Phil was talking per the scoring system used in competitions :)

Ah so desu ka? I assumed something like that. It was still painfully embarassing  And it was in the Origins tourney. The other 2 games were at least competitive. I still went 0-3 though
