An Idea

Post by ross »

Dear Iain,
When writing to you about Arena and thinking about the ghost legions which I called gimmicky of course I was thinking of my own preferences. Dwelling on it later an idea that may interest you came to me. Why not consider doing a game such as Jason and the Argonauts wherein these ghostly characters, and monsters even, are essential to the game. Correct me if I'm wrong in that no-one is doing that scenario and keeps you inside the timeframe that you specialise in. Whether in the gamestyle of Arena or that of COW/Sparta either has possibilities. Imagine the map of Sparta or its like where the heroes travel to complete certain problems and are confronted by such as your ghostly figures and others even within a timeframe might appeal to those who are into fantasy as well as campaign. Not my cup of tea but could be another winner for Slitherine.
Yours,
Ross.

Hi Ross,

we are basing the Cult of Mithras around the god Mithras and the initiation process so it is similar in its ideas. You must pass through the rights of passage, ascending through the heavenly bodies to reverse the process of being born. However - it may be a bit less known than the story of Jason & the argonauts so people think its just fantasy.

OMG, classic old action movie! I remember that one from when I was a little boy. In fact, I was just talking about it with a friend of mine a few weeks ago.

LOVED that part with the Cyclops! RAWR!

Cyclops? I think thats a different movie, they had the Hyrda, and the Harpies, etc... Talos and some stuff with Poseiden. And the stop motion genius of Ray brought to life the skeletons from the teeth of the Hydra... may i'm thinking of a different movie :?
