Los Angeles, USA. FoG Tournament, November 8th & 9th

Post by southbaybob »

Greetings Gamers,

Announcing California Field of Glory Tournament (Osprey’s popular rules for ancient / medieval warfare).

Takes place at the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society (HMGS) Pacific South West Mini Wars Convention. (See the enclosed flyer.)
Verdugo Hills Boy Scout Center
1325 Grandview Ave.
Glendale, CA
91201

The convention web page is: http://www.geocities.com/webenterprises ... omepg.html
(The info on Field of Glory in the PEL is not current.)

Out of towners can find hotels/motels near the con on the web page.

Tournament to consist of 3 rounds:
1) Round 1: Saturday, November 8th: 12:30pm to 4:30pm
2) Round 2: Saturday, Nobember 8th: 5:30pm to 9:30pm
3) Round 3: Sunday, November 9th: 10am to 2pm

(I'll be setting up by 11:30am on Saturday and 9am or so on Sunday, for those of you who may wish to help setup.)

Tournament theme:
Ancients: Army list must come from one of the following army books: Immortal Fire, Rise of Rome, Legions Triumphant.

Single list of 800 points.

15mm tournament.

You must bring your own army. If you don't have an army and wish to play, it's possible to get a loaner. (Just email me in advance with the request.)

If you can, it would also be helpful if you could bring:
- 4' by 6' game mat
- terrain
- ruler or other measuring devices
- 6 sided dice; a dozen would be useful (with some different colors)
- markers to denote: fragmented, broken and routed

You must have at least read the rules, preferably have some playing experience.

Random pairing for 1st round, although I'll try to have out of towners paired with locals. Pairing by points for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Table space is limited. (8 players have already registered.) Please notify me if you're going to attend.

Looking forward to seing you!

Smiles,
Bob
