Graphics - observation from an old dude

Post by Korvessa »

with old eyes
(Winter War)

It would be nice if the deployment arrows (showing where the unit can deploy) and maybe even the movement icons (showing how far the chosen unit can move) were outlined in black (shouldn't be hard to do) instead of plain white.
The current form of plain white can sometimes be hard to see against the white snowy background.

My eyeballs are over 60 years old and my biggest gripe is that the unit strength labels are so small that I literally have to hold a magnifying glass up to the screen (sniffle).
In fact there's a whole bunch of games sitting on my shelf gathering dust because the graphics and/or text are too small to read even on my 27" monitor, maybe game developers use gigantic screens and forget that we poor slobs don't have them..:)

Same here, and good suggestion. The good news is, not all of Winter War is snowy!

Advice: Zoom in so at least the dark edge of the movement arrow shows up better. Not so much with the deployment hexes, but even those are better with zoom.
