Fw 190A

I was curious as to why this aircraft shows up so late in this game since it seemed to me that they showed up earlier in other games. I looked up the history of the Fw 190A and I learned that they started deploying in the fall of 1941. I know that I could use a cheat code to deploy them earlier, but would that greatly unbalance the Campaigh I'm playing?

Since the Eastern Front has most of the scenarios from '41 to '42, the introduction date of the FW190 was most likely picked to match the PzC scenarios being developed, not actual production.

Who knows what they were thinking, but it may be because outside of the vanilla game (Sea Lion '42) and the GC 42-43W (4 scenarios), all the other scenarios, in any of the Gold content between 8/41 (190A first deployed in France) and 9/42 (when it shows up in game) are on the eastern front or in Africa and it wasn't deployed on the eastern front until Nov.-Dec./42. In addition, there were numerous (near as I can tell, 30+) 'A' variants with new 'A' models still coming in 1944 and later and it is not specified which of the 'A' versions it might be. So, outside of those 5 scenarios, it would be somewhat unrealistic to use one anyway unless you create new western front scenarios which occur during the 8/41 - 9/42 time period.

As the in-game library reference mentions that it came out earlier, but wasn't deployed in the east until late 1942, it would appear that it may be based on an eastern deployment. Of course, you can always change the equipment file. A +6 AA would probably be helpful.
