Hello,
I've encountered an odd behaviour during several replays by now. Having confirmed that it's not just me, I'll attach two replays for inspection. It looks like the unit's movement paths get screwed up somehow, resulting in strange maneuver patterns and impossible attack vectors.
The issue arises at around turn 8 during the "Petsamo" replay.
The "Slugfest" (thanks "13obo") recording disturbances start early around turn 3-4, maybe.

Re: Issues with game replays
Has this issue been addressed in the v5.x beta patch?
Having watched several replays by now, I'd say it's caused due to the "dice roll" damage probability being calculated differently on separate runs. Leaving some units alive with "1HP" that died in a previous run or just causing units not to retreat, whilst they did previously. That messes up the unit's movement paths in the following turns.

Re: Issues with game replays
Could the problem occur because the "player" reloaded the turn? I do that sometimes when I missclick (or make a mistake

It's funny, because I was thinking the very same thing at first. But no, I've tried it with my own replays I've done in one session. Didn't help.Halvralf wrote:Could the problem occur because the "player" reloaded the turn? I do that sometimes when I missclick (or make a mistake)
And there's really no reason to be "embarassed" because of reloading a turn. I don't think there's someone out there playing OoB who doesn't do this from time to time at least. I know how often I misclicked in situations when there were two units (air and land/naval) on the same hex and I accidentally chose to move the wrong one...or reloaded simply because a turn gone terribly wrong in some way...
Why do you think there are so many requests for an "undo" function... or why do you think there's an autosave function for every turn start and turn end...? You're not the only one
