Just noticed 900 points :D

Byzantium & Islam seems to be calling "The Sons of the Desert" to ride from Aleppo ...

I suspect that loan armies would be possible. I can do two or three from Rise of Rome and will probably be playing in the Byzantium period. I have enough Arabs to field at least two arab armies simultaneously. You would be welcome to borrow one of my armies.

Its nice to know that Nik and Hammy can already predict their army from Decline and Fall even though its not released yet.

If I was scared I'd worry. Neither happens.

For me it is more that I played in Rise of Rome last year and am playing another Rise of Rome tournament next weekend so Byzantine should be a nice change. I have plenty of Arab troops and can field pretty much any of the Arabs with a box and a half of figures to spare.

Well I've already played with armies from it :D

Main reason is that it'd be the first competition chance to use the Sons of the Desert in FoG 8)

Hi Simon.

33 Teams for FoG, 12 for DBM so far.

We have some teams who are willing to bring 2 armies and play separately to avoid byes.

So I anticipate

20 armies for Rise and Fall of Rome
14 armies for Byzantium and Islam

Here is a list of runners (I will keep the riders secret):

Rise and Fall of Rome

Later Carthaginian
Later Carthaginian
Later Carthaginian
Later Macedonian
Later Macedonian
Later Seleucid
Later Seleucid
Late Republican Roman
Parthian
Parthian
Parthian
Kushan
Kushan
Principate Roman
Principate Roman
Palmyran
Palymran
Sassanid Persian
Foederate Roman
Pictish

Byzantium and Islam

Sassanid Persian
Maurikian Byzantine
Arab Conquest
Khurasanian
Hamdanid
Hamdanid
Lombard
Nikephorian Byzantine
Nikephorian Byzantine
Nikephorian Byzantine
Nikephorian Byzantine
Nikephorian Byzantine
Ghaznavid
Christian Nubian

A lot of Nikephorian Byzantines, but otherwise a decent spread in both themes.

They are obviously both un-named FC's in that army then. As I can't see the troop type.
