800 Point Mongol List...

I'm painting a Mongol list up like a fiend and here is what I'm thinking about for 800 points. I have 8 units of LH already painted (as they came in first), and one unit of "best equipped.'' I'm hoping to have everything painted in another week or two and then was going to paint up some protected cavalry and more LH in case I needed the diversity.

Any comments or suggestions? I know I might catch some flack about taking a FC instead of an IC, but I could not work the points without downgrading a unit to average, dropping a unit of cavalry to protected (and my current models are obviously armoured), or dropping a unit.

Drop a TC and take the IC. You don't need 4 generals with this sort of army IMO - took 4 with the Seljuqs to Helsinki and usually found I had a spare, ran the army again with just 3 and it was just as good.

Not to mention you would really like to avoid fighing in the mountains so getting to +4 would be really helpful...

I would try and fit in at least one unit of cheap unprotected/protected bow armed cav, not quite as fast as LH but useful to have running around in support of the LH.
