Air Fields

Is there a way to find air fields other than hunting all over the map for them ? I'm losing a/c because I can't find where to land them.

Most/all air fields should have a flag, wich is needed for deploying air units on the airfield.
But that is the only clue besides recognizing the airfield itself.

Please see the 'lil pic attached - the airfield is of course inside the yellow circle. It needs to have a flag, and the airstrips are visible.

As on the pics below terrain is also visible under FOW, so it should be possible to make out airfields by studying the map.

OMG.. that is a capital offense losing an airfield to the poles !! U will be put to the pole in front of a firing line for that !!

No, the AI gets the airfield capital offense, landing 3 Aircraft at the Airfield adjacent to your Panzer IV, BOOM!!! Instant air superiority. Seen it do that a few times, they need to tweak the AI to check an airfield for nearby enemy units before landing.

The scenario designer can script air units to use a specific airfield, preferably one way behind friendly lines.
